Data protection congress in Munich on challenges of the digitalized workplace

Data protection officers and experts from supervisory authorities, business and politics will come together from all over Germany for the BvD Autumn Conference in Munich on October 27 and 28, 2021. Now in its fifth year, the joint conference of the German Association of Data Protection Officers (BvD) with the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision and the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection has established itself as a fixed meeting place for the data protection community. After two years, the congress is once again being held as a face-to-face event. Online participation is also possible.

The motto of the two conference days is “Shaping digitization: Challenges of the modern working world” and promises plenty of potential for discussion. Increasingly digitally driven processes, employees working independently of time and place, and the global networking of the entire economy mean many changes in everyday working life. What opportunities and risks does this create for a modern working world? What data protection requirements have developed as a result? How can data protection standards be reconciled with social networks?

The BvD Fall Conference and Authorities Day 2021 will be held in German. The complete program can be downloaded here.
