Club evening with Jaroslav Hora

On April 26, 2022, the Czech Data Protection Association organized a “club evening” with the Data Protection Officer of the Czech Statistical Office, Mr. Jaroslav Hora. The discussion concerned his experience with personal data processing in the state statistical service and especially in the census, which took place in Czech republic in 2021. Participants were also interested in general issues of personal data processing by the state and the future of the census at the time of electronic state administration. “Cross-sectional cooperation within the Czech Statistical Office, but also with other cooperating institutions, on such a large and complex social project, was an invaluable experience for me. The issue of data processing and security in public administration remains a major challenge, especially in an era of the boom of information technology and the growing need for general privacy protection. I am very pleased that I was able to share my experience with colleagues from the Association, who also inspired me positively professionally,” said Mr. Hora. 

Representatives of these organizations also took part in the event: National Cyber ​​and Information Security AgencyGovernmental CERT, Cybercrime Section of the Police of the Czech Republic, Czech Data protection Authority and law firm Pierstone and Media house MAFRA

The event was held under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Mgr. et Mgr. Adam Vojtěch, MHA, who also held opening speech of the conference. The main organizer was Mr. Ing. Dušan Chvojka, MBA, head of Commission for healthcare of Data Protection Association.
