On 11-12. June 2024 in Slovak Republic at the VII. anniversary of the prestigious EPI (GDPR) conference, several experts, including representatives of the Slovak association, presented their valuable practical experience. The participants received answers to current questions regarding the regulation of personal data and security.
The Slovak association was a professional guarantor for the conference and confirmed its place in the Slovak republic in promoting and bringing together the DPOs and other privacy professionals.
During the conference also the DPO of the year award took place, organised by the Slovak and Czech associations for the last 6 years. The goal of the award is to award DPOs who not only contribute to proper, fair and transparent processing of personal data in their organisations, but also participate in professional discussions, share their experiences and contribute to increasing the protection of personal data and privacy in the Slovak Republic . From the received nominations, the expert jury composed of members of the association and other representatives of the professional public, selected one overall winner.
